I have a confession to make…

TL;DR

After a longer-than-intended silence, here’s what’s been happening at Pixel Perfect, what’s coming next, and three things every business owner should have on their radar right now.

Table of Contents

  1. What’s new?
  2. Keep these items on your radar
  3. A secret project
  4. How are you?

I have a confession to make.

I haven’t been practicing what I preach.

Between juggling a growing business and being intentional about being present during family time, regular communication has taken a back seat.

It’s been ages since I sent out a newsletter and I’m currently averaging about one social media post per month.

Not great.

If we’ve ever talked about marketing your business, strengthening relationships, and maintaining visibility you know that this is the complete opposite of what I stand for.

I haven’t made it a priority.

The good news?

Today is as good as any to make a change and it’s starting with this email.

With AI-generated content overwhelming our social feeds and inbox, it’s more important than ever to show up and share the real things happening in your business and life.

This email won’t be perfect… but at least you know it didn’t come from a prompt.

What’s new?

While online communication hasn’t been regular, we have had some great community involvement.

I just completed another round as a mentor for new businesses at the St. Catharines Enterprise Centre. I took on the role of vice-chair on the board for the Grimsby Chamber of Commerce. And I had some new speaking events, including delivering the keynote speech for the West Lincoln Chamber business awards and running a seminar for the City of Brampton.

Pixel Perfect launched several new websites for businesses across a variety of different industries. You can see some of them on the Our Work page.

I’ve refined our core offering and approach to better serve our customers, and we’ve added new pages to the website to improve transparency and communicate how we’re different.

I’ve also expanded my everyday AI toolset and participated in a few different online trainings.

Keep these items on your radar

I hate to make this all about AI, but the reality is things are changing fast.

1. Your social feeds are about to change.

You’ve probably already noticed it’s getting harder to spot AI-generated videos, and this is only the beginning. AI-generated influencers are about to take over. In an artificial world it’s becoming more important than ever to be authentic. If you’ve been shying away from showing up on video, now is the time to let people know you’re real.

2. The way people are finding your business is changing.

AI recommendations are becoming the new normal. If you want to be included, it’s critical that your website and other online checkpoints have the information AI is looking for. Is it obvious why you’re different? Is there enough information about your offer? Are you leveraging off-site credibility checkpoints? Not sure what this means? You’re not alone. Not sure where to start? Drop me a line.

3. Resilience is critical.

AI disruption is going to hit different businesses in different ways. And it’s not the only thing to keep an eye on.

Global instability is creating real pressure on costs and supply chains, and we haven’t fully felt the ripple effects yet. When spending tightens, businesses that aren’t prepared feel it first. We saw that play out during Covid.

The key is to not wait until it’s obvious. Diversify strategically, and take an honest look at where your business is exposed before the pressure arrives.

A secret project

Behind the scenes I’ve been quietly working on something I’m really excited about.

It’s slightly adjacent to Pixel Perfect, but still focused on helping businesses succeed in a world of uncertainty.

More coming soon!

How are you?

If it’s been a while since we last spoke, I’d love to catch up and hear about your business. Drop me a line or book a quick call via my calendar.

If you’re still reading, thank you for sticking around!

I really appreciate your support and look forward to chatting again soon.

If you’re not already following Pixel Perfect on Instagram, I’d love to connect with you there. That’s where you’ll find our latest videos and more frequent tips.

Take care,

Larry
